February 16, 2008 -- In celebration of Kenneth Cole New York’s 15th annual national shoe drive for HELP USA, many celebrities donated shoes for the cause. During the three week period Maggie Grace (Jane Austen Book Club, Taken), Stacy Keibler (What About Brian), Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl), Aaron Yoo (21, Disturbia), Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), Tamara Feldman (Dirty Sexy Money), Kyle Howard (My Boys), and Aaron Paul (Big Love, Breaking Bad) all stopped by the Beverly Center store in Los Angeles, CA with shoes to donate for HELP USA. The promotion allowed customers who donated gently worn shoes to receive 20% off their next purchase at any Kenneth Cole New York store location.
HELP USA is the nation’s largest provider of housing and services for the homeless. To date, Kenneth Cole has collected over 1.5 million pairs of shoes for the organization and all shoes are donated to respective HELP USA residences that are located throughout New York, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Little Rock, Arkansas. In locations where there is no HELP USA residence, donations are made to local homeless organizations.
In the past, celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Mohammed Ali, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, Jessica Simpson, Billy Baldwin, Mets’ Mike Piazza, Michael Strahan of NY Giants and Comedian David Brenner have all donated shoes and clothing for the cause.
